In the largest family oil mill in Slovenia, learn about the world of olives and everything about the use of olive oil. Tempt your taste buds while tasting traditional Istrian dishes and learn about the wide use of olives in industry and cosmetics. In less than three hours, you will learn how to recognize high-quality olive oil - and much more.

This is the story of olive oil, experienced in old olive groves, in the middle of a high-tech laboratory and state-of-the-art olive oil production. The real treat is an unforgettable ride in the legendary old-timers, the interior of which is made of olive wood. They take us along the paths of the Istrian hinterland. Where we toast the wonderful view with the house sparkling wine Mezalanna.

How is the experience going?

• Meeting at the agreed place and driving with old-timers through Portorož and along the coastal road, past vineyards, through olive groves, all the way to the Belvedere viewpoint above the fishing town of Izola.
• A walk through old olive groves, getting to know different varieties of olives, a glass of homemade sparkling wine MEZALANNA, which is sparkling wine according to the classic method, without sugar, at an imposing vantage point of the highest flysch cliff on the Adriatic coast.
• Driving past Izola along the coastal road to the Lisjak estate.  
• Arrival at the oil mill, guided tour and tasting of olive oil, detailed explanation of all production phases.
• Testing of olive cosmetics made from olive oil and olive pits.
• After the tour, you will enjoy the wonderful veranda in front of the oil mill typical Istrian cold cuts consisting of typical Istrian salami and cheese.
• Soon after that, we will serve you Istrian truffle fuži,(pasta) which we prepare in a very special way, using truffles harvested on our estate.
